Beyond the Classroom...

CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITY

I am an active member in Hwa Chong Symphonic Band.

 

I am in the percussion section and I have 4 years of experience in percussion. I was the Assistant Percussion Section Leader in Nanyang Concert Band for year 2012.

​

I enjoy making music with the band. It is amazing how when each person plays a tiny part of the music, it contributes to this whole piece of lovely music; I guess this is what that unites the band together. Though band consist of a very big group of people, yet we are bound together as one in music. I love band and I feel very lucky to be a part of this family. 

​

 

 

LEADERSHIP

​I was a head prefect in my primary school (S.J.K.(c) Kepong 2). Basically I assist teachers in overlooking the discipline of the school. This has allowed my qualities such as responsibility, integrity and perseverance to shine.  

However, in the past 4 years, I had not taken up any major leadership roles. This has enabled me to become a better follower. I can now better relate to the group's feelings and needs. Hence, I aim to be a more compassionate leader in the future.

MY INTERESTS

I love arts & crafts!  

 

I enjoy drawing and doodling on my sketchbook and well..basically on any paper. I have once designed a band t-shirt for Nanyang Concert Band. 

​

I also love creating things with my own hand. During my free time, I do origami and recently I started learning crocheting on my own. I think that I am rather skilful at making delicate things.
